Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 8 tblsp salted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Microwave the butter for about 40 seconds until it's just melted but not hot, aiming for a mostly liquid consistency.
- Combine all the ingredients. Mix until crumbly. Use your hands to mix.
- Roll the dough into 12 large balls (or 9 for extra large cookies) and place them on a cookie sheet.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes until the cookies appear puffy, dry, and just slightly golden. It's crucial not to overbake them to keep them soft.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the pan for about 30 minutes.
