French Apple Cake

Ingredients

  • regular flour - 1 cup ( 150g )
  • almond flour - 1/3 cup ( 50g )
  • sugar - 1/2 cup ( 100g )
  • vanilla extract - 1/2 tsp
  • milk - 4 tbsp
  • salt - pinch
  • melted butter - 6 tbs
  • baking powder - 1 1/2 tsp
  • eggs - 3
  • apicot jam - 3 tsp
  • almond sticks - 3 tsp
  • apples - 3 large

Instructions

  1. Set the oven to 360 degrees
  2. Mix all dry ingredients
  3. Mix all wet ingredients ( eggs, sugar, etc... )
  4. Quarter the apples and add long-side ridges on the outer side
  5. Combine all dry and wet ingredients and mix until smooth
  6. Pour the batter into the 9" round form
  7. Add the quartered apples gently on the top, make sure the ridged side is on top
  8. Place the batter form into the oven for 45 mins

  • Roast lightly the almond sticks ( to be put on top of the apricot jam )
  • Prepare the apricot jam to be put on the top of the case once cooked
