French Apple Cake
Ingredients
- regular flour - 1 cup ( 150g )
- almond flour - 1/3 cup ( 50g )
- sugar - 1/2 cup ( 100g )
- vanilla extract - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 4 tbsp
- salt - pinch
- melted butter - 6 tbs
- baking powder - 1 1/2 tsp
- eggs - 3
- apicot jam - 3 tsp
- almond sticks - 3 tsp
- apples - 3 large
Instructions
- Set the oven to 360 degrees
- Mix all dry ingredients
- Mix all wet ingredients ( eggs, sugar, etc... )
- Quarter the apples and add long-side ridges on the outer side
- Combine all dry and wet ingredients and mix until smooth
- Pour the batter into the 9" round form
- Add the quartered apples gently on the top, make sure the ridged side is on top
- Place the batter form into the oven for 45 mins
- Roast lightly the almond sticks ( to be put on top of the apricot jam )
- Prepare the apricot jam to be put on the top of the case once cooked
